Dr. Darija Vujosevic is a family physician in St. Catharines, Ontario. Her experience in an interdisciplinary, team-based setting has given her a deep understanding of the dynamics of collaborative patient care, specific accountabilities, and the necessity for strong interpersonal and communication skills. This understanding supports ensuring excellent patient care and addressing barriers in care delivery.
As treasurer for the Section of General & Family Practice for the Ontario Medical Association, Dr. Vujosevic has enhanced her financial literacy, gained insight into legislative requirements, and become well-versed in fiduciary duties and responsibilities. She has developed into a seasoned leader through her roles with her Family Health Team, Family Health Organization, and other primary care organizations. Additionally, Dr. Vujosevic has acquired valuable research experience as the primary care clinical lead for her Ontario Health Team and previously for the Ontario Health West region.
The CMPA Nominating Committee values the unique perspectives Dr. Vujosevic will bring to CMPA Council, stemming from her diverse experience as an international medical graduate, her work in various medical environments in Bosnia and Bermuda, and her interdisciplinary front-line practice in Ontario. The Committee also appreciates her understanding of healthcare system challenges.
