Jennifer Gillis-Doyle

Having transitioned from a comprehensive family medicine practitioner to the focused role as a palliative care consultant, Dr. Jennifer Gillis-Doyle has gained a unique perspective on healthcare delivery over the past 16 years. She brings extensive knowledge from her practice in both rural and urban settings, working within fee-for-service and salaried models of care.

As a medical educator, Dr. Gillis-Doyle is committed to safe medical care, and has served as the chair of the CMPA Safe Medical Care Committee, which oversaw the launch of the online resident education programs. She also contributed to numerous other CMPA committees, including the CMPA Culture Sub-committee, which layed the foundation for governance oversight of organizational and governance culture.

The CMPA Nominating Committee highly values Dr. Gillis-Doyle’s deep knowledge about end-of-life care complexities, along with her governance experience, leadership, and mentoring roles.
