Dr. Mansfield Mela is an esteemed academic forensic psychiatrist with over 20 years of healthcare experience. As a founder of the forensic subspecialty in Canada, and the chair of the Examination Board, he has significantly contributed to the field.
Dr. Mela has practised medicine across three continents, offering innovative solutions to critical medical issues through his extensive leadership, governance, and medico-legal experience. He possesses advanced expertise in medico-legal matters related to physician wellness issues and represents physicians on the Saskatchewan Physician Health Program. His dedication to education is evident in his supervision and teaching of medical, nursing, and law students, with a primary focus on PhD, psychiatric, and family medicine postgraduates.
