Dr. Patrick Bergin practices General Internal Medicine in Charlottetown, P.E.I. and is a recognized medical leader in the region. He is a recipient of the Royal College’s Region 5 Prix d’ Excellence for Outstanding Contribution to the Profession, the Medical Society of P.E.I.’s Physician Leadership Award, and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Award for Physician Excellence.
Since 2014, Dr. Bergin has been a committed member of CMPA Council and is currently serving a third term as the provincial representative from P.E.I. He values a healthy balance between CMPA Management and Council, and is recognized in peer reviews as a committed and valued member of CMPA Council.
Dr. Bergin believes the CMPA is a true cornerstone of our Canadian healthcare system, and recognizes the importance of not only providing high-level medical defence to CMPA members, but also in protecting each member’s professional integrity.
