Dr. Paul Healey is an emergency physician practising in Oakville, Ontario. A graduate of University of Western Ontario, he completed his residency at the University of Toronto. Dr. Healey is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at McMaster University. He has been involved in teaching medical students, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.

Dr. Healey has served on multiple hospital committees involving emergency department design, transition to the new Oakville site, and hospital transition to electronic medical records. He has served as a medical inspector with the College of Physicians and Surgeons. In addition, he has been a medical expert in many legal proceedings. He is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management Advanced Health Leadership Program.

Dr. Healey is best known as the founder, with his wife Dr. Jane Healey, of the Physician Financial Independence online group, which is a forum where Canadian physicians teach each other about personal finance, evidence-based investing, and maximizing happiness. The active group has over 36,000 physician members and their spouses.
