Dr. Victoria Januszkiewicz (she/her) is a fourth-year obstetrics and gynecology resident at Queen’s University. She is originally from New Brunswick and completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick. She graduated with her MD from the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland in May 2020 and is also completing her diploma in clinical epidemiology through Memorial University.
Dr. Januszkiewicz has been passionate about leadership in medicine since she started medical school. During medical school, she served two terms on the Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS) Board of Directors. She first served as the CFMS Atlantic Regional Representative (2017/2018), and then as the CFMS Vice President of Communications (2018/2019). Following her time with CFMS she served a term on the Medical Council of Canada General Council as a representative for Canadian medical students (2019/2020). She was recognized for her student leadership with the New Brunswick Student Leadership Award in 2018 and the Federation of Medical Women in Canada Student Leadership Award in 2020.
