Coming end of February: Physician Well-Being Index

Your wellness matters.

Practicing medicine in today's health care environment is challenging. The stress can take a toll on your well-being, particularly when dealing with a medico-legal event. That’s why, at the end of February, CMPA will be bringing you the Physician Well-Being Index (WBI).

Validated by the Mayo Clinic, this anonymous, web-based tool is designed to:

  • Provide you with a confidential way to assess your levels of distress in just a few questions.
  • Identify areas where additional support may be needed.
  • Provide you with province/territory specific wellness resources.
  • Allow you to compare your scores to peers and track progress over time.

Accessing the tool

At the end of February, all members will receive an email from CMPA with a QR code and a link/code. The codes will also be posted to the member sign-in section of CMPA’s website. This information will allow you to visit the WBI website and create your own secure account. Using your account, you will be able to assess your well-being, , and track wellness changes over time.

Your data privacy

The account you create with WBI belongs to you. CMPA will receive aggregate data from WBI only. We will never be able to identify individual members, see personal data, or access individual accounts. The aggregate data we receive will allow us to gain deeper insights into the wellness challenges our members face and help us tailor our support to better meet your needs.

We are here for you.
